WHY WE GIVE
At Connell Memorial United Methodist Church, stewardship is about more than finances—it’s about discipleship.
Scripture teaches that giving is a response to God’s grace, a spiritual practice that shapes our faith, and a way the church lives out its mission together. Through generosity, we support local ministries and participate in the broader mission of the United Methodist Church through connectional giving.
When we give together, our impact multiplies—locally, regionally, and globally.
Giving is not about obligation. It’s about faith in action.
WHY IT MATTERS
The early church shared resources so that ministry could flourish and needs could be met (Acts 2:44–47; 1 Corinthians 12:26).
What Is Connectional Giving?
Connectional giving is how United Methodist churches pool
resources to support ministry beyond the local congregation.
Rather than working alone, churches give together to support
education, disaster response, leadership development, global
mission, and care for vulnerable communities.
Why It Matters
• It reflects biblical community
• It multiplies impact
• It ensures shared responsibility
• It supports ministries no single church could sustain alone
Connectional giving is not paying dues – it is participating in mission

WEDNESDAY DINNER
Join us each Wednesday evening for a delightful catered meal. Meals are available for dine in or carry out.
Meal service is from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Meal Prices:Adult Catered Meal – $12 for dine in – $13 for carryout (to cover cost of to go containers)
Child Catered Meal – $6
Child Value Meal – $3
