GROUPS

Groups at CMUMC allow both guests and members the opportunity to plug in to the life of the church in a smaller and more intimate setting.  Our groups meet both in-person and online.

In-Person Groups

In-person groups meet each Sunday at 10:15 am.

A class of mostly retirees and senior adults discussing the Bible as it relates to current topics, meeting in room 107 each Sunday at 10:15 am.

A loving, dedicated, supportive and welcoming family of friends studying the International Bible Lessons for Christian Teaching, meeting in Tucker Chapel. The class has the option of meeting online if the Church is closed.

The Hope Class is an adult Sunday School class currently meeting in the library. We are primarily an open discussion group focusing on faith and spiritual questions. All attendees are encouraged to contribute thoughts and questions for sharing and discussing. We encourage drop-ins with their personal questions. The Hope Class provides an alternative to the Adult Bible study literature. Just a few of our recent topics have included: “Listening as witnessing,” “Golden Nuggets in the Bible.” “Looking at the actions of Jesus.” We welcome all ages!

A diverse group of fun-loving adults who study from a variety of Christian themes to build a stronger relationship with Christ, meeting in Leeper Hall. We meet in person in Leeper Hall and provide an online connection as well for those who can’t join us in person. If you would like to join our class online contact the church office and we will email you a link to join the class virtually.

Classes from age 3 through 5th grade studying from the Deep Blue Bible, meeting in the Kids Zone Activity Room.

A multi-age group studying Christian themes in depth with the use of study guides, meeting in room 108 each Sunday at 10:15 am.

We are a class for all ages, seeking to grow in faith and service. We study a variety of topics, using books and study guides, with a discussion format. We have open seats for guests/new members. Drop in and check us out, or join us virtually. To join the class virtually contact the church office for a link to our online class.

Adult couples and singles (ranging in age 55+) who meet together to share God’s abundant love for all people. We watch and discuss video-based lessons on a variety of faith topics from leading biblical scholars. An important part of each week is the time spent sharing the joys and challenges of everyday life so we can offer support to each other. We meet in person at Kroll house and on-line through Zoom. Our Youth Group is open to the youth in grades 6th though 12th grades, meeting each week in the Kroll Building for a time of fun, fellowship and faith.
